BOLOGNA PRIZE Best Children's Publisher of the year
On the occasion of the 53rd Bologna Children’s Book Fair, BolognaFiere and AIE - Italian Publishers’ Association will present the 4th BOP - Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the year.
In cooperation with AIE – Italian Publishers’ Association - the prize has been created to acknowledge publishers at the forefront of innovation in their activity for the creative nature of the editorial choices they have made during the previous years’ editions of the fair.
The aim is to highlight the editorial projects, professional skills and intellectual qualities of work produced by publishing houses all over the world. At the same time, the prize is designed to foster reciprocal knowledge and mutual exchange of ideas among different countries, diverse areas and cultural identities across the globe.
The winners will be chosen by the publishing houses participating in the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, on the basis of a series of nominations made by the international Publishers Associations and cultural institutions representing book publishers worldwide and – other than 2013, 2014 and 2015 - also by the publishers themselves.
Six prizes shall be awarded, one for each geographical area: Asia, Africa, Central-South America, Europe, North America, and Oceania.
All exhibitors are invited to nominate 7 publishing houses: 2 in their geographical area and 1 for each of the other areas: nominations must be made by 15th January 2016 by completing the relevant form.
Nominations should be reserved for children’s books publishers who has excelled in editorial innovation published in 2015 except for the 2013, 2014 and 2015 BOP Prize Winners.
After 15th January, the official nominations will be announced and will then be voted by publishers exhibiting at the 2016 Fair themselves, simply following the The Show Office instructions.
